Character Pro is a professional-quality OCR package. It combines tworecognition methods normally only found together in very high-costpackages. Both Omnifont and trainable technologies are used in CharacterPro. Its unique interactive document-learning capability makes this aneasy-to-use package, and substantially reduces correction time.Other features include automatic page segmentation, column detection,table and underlining removal, and output formats which are compatiblewith both line-oriented and paragraph-oriented word processors. Due toits trainable capability, a wide variety of fonts such as Greek,Cyrillic, Russian, and other foreign fonts can be recognized. Thefeatures of Character Pro are accessed through the OPEN LOOK graphicaluser interface, or a Motif interface. Users can also queue up documents.
